The Foundations: 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training
The Foundations 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training is the heart of Deep Dive Yoga, an immersive and transformational journey designed for dedicated yoga students ready to evolve into confident, embodied teachers. This foundational program blends classical teachings with modern understanding, offering a complete education in the art and science of yoga.
At the core of the training is an exploration of yoga as a holistic path, one that unites body, mind, and spirit. Students will study the roots of yoga through its history and philosophy, diving into Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, the Eight Limbs of Yoga, and the guiding principles of the Yamas and Niyamas. We also explore the Four Paths of Yoga, Karma, Bhakti, Raja, and Jnana to illuminate the many ways yoga can be lived and shared beyond the mat.
The physical and energetic aspects of practice are explored in depth through Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga, with an introduction to Yin, Restorative, and Prenatal yoga foundations. Students learn asana alignment, intelligent sequencing, and effective teaching methodology – building the skills and confidence to guide others safely and skillfully.
Anatomy and physiology are taught through the lens of yoga teaching anatomy, providing an understanding of movement, function, and energetics. Students are introduced to prana, nadis, vayus, koshas, and the chakra system. With the ability to learn how to sense and guide energetic awareness in practice.
Through teaching clinics, mentorship, and peer practice, participants gain hands-on experience that nurtures both their voice and presence as teachers. By the end of the program, you will have developed a grounded understanding of yoga’s essence and the ability to share it authentically with others.
The Foundations is a 200-hour program that serves as the gateway into the Deep Dive Yoga lineage of teaching that is anchored in classical roots, informed by modern insight, and designed to awaken the teacher within.
This program is offered either as a 2.5 week intensive or scaled over a few months as in person experience. Contact us for upcoming training dates and enrollment details.
